Document Description
CDFW is intending to execute a Lake and Streambed Alteration Agreement pursuant to Section 1602 of the Fish and Game Code (# 1600-2014-0053-R5) to the Project applicant, Morgan Jones of the County of Santa Barbara. The Project proposes to strengthen the existing bridge and widen it by 7 feet. The existing bridge is a single span steel plate girder structure with a reinforced concrete deck supported by reinforced concrete abutments and driven "H" pile foundations. This project involves tying two steel plate girders with cross bracing to the existing girder and extending the steel floor beams and reinforced concrete deck slab. The abutments will be supported on 24-inch case-in-drilled hole piles. Jalama Road will be widened by 7 feet to accommodate the width of the bridge. The work will be done on the north side of the existing bridge, and not over the pool that contains southwestern pond turtle (Emys marmorata pallida).
