Document Description
The project is limited to the installation of three temporary railroad flatcar bridges and one at-grade stream crossing, the removal of approximately 4.8 cubic yards of mine-related material from the bank of an unnamed tributary to Sulphur Creek, and bank stabilization by use of self-deploying rip-rap barrier on a reach of Sulphur Creek near Manzanita Mine. After work is complete, any areas temporarily disturbed by project activities will be restored and re--contoured to pre-existing conditions or a more stable condition if necessary, and re-vegetated with non-invasive plant species at a ratio of 1:1. Re-vegetation will consist of a mix of non-invasive seeds compatible with the natural land cover of the area. An onsite repository for dredged material will be constructed and would avoid stream channels and drainages in the vicinity of the proposed construction site. The final repository design is pending and will be designed to contain the actual volume of mine material generated by the project.
