The proposed project is an update to the City of Los Alamitos General Plan and is intended to provide guidance for long-term growth, maintenance, and preservation in the City over the next 20-plus years. The General Plan Update (GPU) also includes Rossmoor as part of the City's sphere of influence to understand future demands for services and implications for growth in Rossmoor and the City. The Los Alamitos GPU consists of the following elements: Land Use; Economic Development; Housing; Open Space; Recreation, and Conservation; Mobility and Circulation; Public Facilities and Safety; and Growth Management.
