Document Description
Site Development Permit to alleviate the peak wet weather flows in the City of San Diego's Metropolitan Wastewater System (Metro System). The project would construct the following facilities on the Metropolitan BioSolids Center (MBC) leasehold: Turnout piping (approximately 200 feet of 36-inch pipe) needed to transfer water from recycled water pipelines to the storm drain outfall structure (this includes a value & meter structure - approximately 220 sf); a dechlorinization system facility (approximately 1,800 sf building) to treat the water prior to discharge; upgrades to an existing 48-inch storm drain outfall structure (the storm drain outfall structure currently exists near the MBC facility that empties storm flows into San Clemente canyon); installation of rip rap and 12 cubic yards of cut) to dissipate energy and slow down velocity of the discharged water to prevent erosion; and a paved access roadway to service the outfall structure (approximately 10,000 sf). The type of equipment to construct these facilities will include dump trucks and excavators.
