Document Description
The applicant requests a CUP to be granted to authorize the upgrade of an existing communications facility operated by AT&T that is installed on a utility pole within the Highway 1 right of way. The facility is located approximately 1,500 feet east of Deer Creek Road. The utility pole is located on the southern side of the roadway and will have four panel antennas. The equipment area will be located on the northern side of the roadway and will be screened from passing motorists by an earthen berm. The equipment area will be enclosed by a four-foot tall block wall. The upgrade includes the removal of two microwave dishes at the 25-foot level and installation of four panel antennas at the 20-foot level. The upgrade also includes the installation of two microcell antennas that will be flush mounted to the utility pole at the eight foot level. The antennas will be painted to match the color of the existing utility pole. The facility will be unmanned and does not require any water to operate. The facility will not have any battery packs with hazardous materials. Access to the site is provided from the side of Hwy 1. The AT&T site number is "SBOV96" and the site name is "ROW Deer Creek Microcell".
