Document Description
The purpose of the project is to widen Brittan Avenue and address anticipated traffic congestion along the roadway. The benefits of the Project include the provision of sufficient accommodation for right-turning trucks from Brittan Avenue onto southbound Industrial Road; to maintain adequate service levels and traffic load capacity to accommodate existing and future traffic demand; and to continue to serve as a Primary Gateway Roadway and a major regional entry point and transportation route. The project is a programmed improvement measure that has been approved by the City in order to accommodate anticipated future travel demand along Brittan Avenue, as addressed in the General Plan and is included in the City's Capital Improvement Plan.
