Document Description
The Stanislaus National Forest will install rock or fence barriers and closure signs at 36 specific locations on the Mi-Wok Ranger District to protect resources. All activities will take place within the existing road or trail prism traveling subject to the following condition: 1) no mechanized equipment will be used on sections of routes traveling through flagged archaeological sites until a Heritage Resource Specialist is consulted; 2) standard equipment cleaning measures will be used to minimize the introduction and spread of invasive plants; and 3) no removal or trimming of elderberry bushes will take place.
