Document Description
KCWA purchased the Lower Kern River Water Rights on the Kern River from Nickel Family LLC and as part of the purchase, KCWA agreed to provide 10,000 acre-feet of water annually to Nickel. Subsequently, Nickel entered into a long-term agreement to provide 8,393 acre-feet annually to DMB Communities II, Inc. DMB Pacific LLC became the successor in interest to DMBCII and in 2013, has requested that KCWA deliver 8,393 acre-feet of its 2013 Nickel Water and 7,553 acre-feet of its 2011 Nickel water, previously banked in the Semitropic Banking Project, to WWD for use on lands outside of the State Water Project place of use.
