Document Description
Sahara Mustard, Brassica Tournefortii Gouan is an invasive herbaceous winter annual known to negatively impact native annual plants and potentially the endangered Coachella Valley Fringe-toed Lizard. Despite the potential for this weed to have a broad impact on biodiversity and ecosystem processes little is known about its impacts on native anthropods - a primary food source for the lizard. Developing an understanding of how Sahara mustard impacts food webs within the Coachella Valley is therefore a critical need in order to priortize limited management resources to ensure the persistence of this community and the endemic species found there.
