Document Description
The proposed project is the demolition of three buildings of potential historic significance known as the Mowry Schoolhouse and the Bettencourt and Brown Houses which were moved from other locations in 1984-1985 and stored on cribbing at Ardenwood Historic Farm Regional Preserve. Previous efforts at restoration and reuse by the East Bay Regional Park District have been unsuccessful due to the high cost of renovation. Because of public safety issues, the Park District has proposed demolition without replacement of the three structures.
