The originally approved project consists of an amendment to Title 19 Kern County Zoning Ordinance (July 2012), with focus on Ch. 19.98 (Oil and Gas Production), to include new site development standards for all oil and gas exploration, extraction, operations, and production activities in unincorporated Kern County. DOGGR, as the Responsible Agency, will be issuing a permit for the proposed project activity, which consists of the following:
The DOGGR has approved a supplemental to Permit No. 16-0008-0 for CA Resources Elk Hills, LLC to redrill and hydraulically fracture 1 well, listed below in Kern County. The well will be plugged back to 6,900 feet and sidetracked to a new bottom hole target approx. 1300 feet from the initial location. The surface location will not change.
