Document Description
The RAW focuses on removal of approximately 320 cubic yards of contaminated soil impacted by several chemicals of concern (COC) including toxaphene, chlordane, and total petroleum hydrocarbons (TPH) and will be transported by truck for offsite for disposal at an appropriate permitted landfill. The COCs were detached at levels that have been determined to pose an unacceptable risk to human health. The removal action activities are scheduled to begin during the summer break of 2013, when no students and staff are expected to use the playfields, which are directly adjacent to the Site and are expected to take approximately three weeks to complete. The project will restore the Site to allow for unrestricted us for the expansion of the existing Santa Ynez Valley Charter School Campus.
