The San Joaquin River Parkway Master Plan will replace the existing Parkway Master Plan, originally adopted in Dec. 1997. The plan provides long range goals, objectives, policies, design guidelines & best management practices & plans to accomplish wildlife habitat conservation and enhancement, public access and recreation, environmental education, & natural & natural & cultural resource conservation & management within the San Joaquin River Parkway. The Parkway is a planned 22-mile regional natural & low impact recreation area primarily in the river's floodplain extending from Friant Dam to Hwy 99, encompassing portions of both Fresno & Madera counties.
