Document Description
Conditional Use/Surface Mining Permits and approval of Reclamation Plan for the Kercher Quarry, a new upland quarry in the Pratt Mountain area. The project proposes total extraction of 100,000 cubic yards over the 15-year permit term. Mining may consist of a maximum annual extraction of 34,000 cy, or smaller extractions as frequently as every two to five years. The material mined is massive greywacke and lesser amounts of shale, chert, greenstone and schist, and will be used for the maintenance and repair of County roads. The permit term is 15 years and, if approved, will expire on June 2028.
