Document Description
Stage 7 finish of the Amgen Tour of California on May 18, 2013 along South Gate Road and Summit Road, finishing at the Summit Visitor Center in Mount Diablo State Park. Work will: Infrastructure: - Locate race support parking and event tents in the Lower Summit Parking Lot to host VIPs, the press, team support, etc. - Place trash cans throughout the park provide trash removal and clean-up where support and spectators will be viewing the race and - Place ~40 porta potties along the course and finish area to ensure that the park's septic system is not overwhelmed. Volunteers & Information: - Place temporary signs on A-frames, highlighting concerns of the day including, parking only in designated areas, no painting on the roads, no alcohol, removal all the trash, etc. The event expects to draw 10,000-15,000 spectators who will station themselves along the roads, turnouts, and parking lots within the park to watch the riders finish the stage.
