Document Description
The San Jose Water Company (SJWC) is proposing the replacement of the existing Regnart Heights water storage tank, which is aged and in poor condition. The bolted steel tank is currently over 46 years of age. The existing 140,000 gallon tank will be replaced with two new steel water tanks with a combined storage capacity of about 199,000 gallons. The larger tank is approximately 147,000 gallons and the second smaller tank is 52,000 gallons. The smaller tank will be installed while the existing tank is still in service. Once the smaller tank is completed and in service, and the existing tank will be demolished and the larger tank will be built. CDPH will be issuing an amended water supply permit once the new tanks are constructed and operational.
