Document Description
1) Coastal Administrative Permit and Design Approval to allow the construction of a 4,338 sf two-story single family dwelling with an attached 509 sf garage, a 216 sf second story deck, a 1,412 sf at grade patio, concrete paver driveway and walk ways, and the installation of a new septic disposal field; grading will include approximately 260 cubic yards of cut and 260 cubic yards of fill; 2) Coastal Development Permit to allow the conversion of an existing 1,603 sf two story single family dwelling into a 423 guest house and the first floor with the 1,004 sf second floor converted into an art studio and to allow the guesthouse to exceed 12 feet in height by 2.7 feet; and demolish an existing 360 sf guest house but retain 485 sf of the existing structure as a detached garage; 3) Coastal Development Permit to allow development within 100-feet of Environmentally Sensitive Habitat; and 4) Coastal Development Permit to allow development within 750 feet of a known archaeological resource. The property is located at 170 Spindrift Lane, Carmel (APN 241-321-002-000), Carmel Highlands Area, Carmel Land Use Plan, Coastal Zone.
