Document Description
The proposed project includes three on-site supplemental recharge wells, two on-site monitoring wells, and one off-site monitoring well. The supplemental recharge wells would be operated to recharge and store up to 4.5 millions gallons per day (mgd) of Full Advanced Treated (FAT) recycled water in the underlying aquifers for replenishment and later use by other groundwater users. When the Montabello Forebay Spreading Grounds are unavailable for recycled water recharge or do not have sufficient capacity to hold local storm water during wet periods, the recycled water produced at the GRIP Advanced Water Treatment Facility would be directed to three proposed supplemental recharge wells located at the AWTF site.
