Document Description
Note: Extended Review The proposed project would allow the Water Replenishment District of Southern CA to offset the current use of imported water with a combined total of 21,000 acre-feet per year (AFY) of both tertiary and advanced water treatment (AWT) recycled water for groundwater replenishment in the Central Basin via the Montebello Forebay. WRD would construct an AWT plant for advanced treatment of the tertiary treated recycled water from the San Jose Creek Water Reclamation Plant (SJCWRP) prior to recharge via spreading. WRD would also construct a new pipeline to exclusively convey AWT water from the SJCWRP to a connection point with the existing outfall pipeline to be blended with the tertiary treated recycled water prior to spreading at the San Gabriel Coastal Basin Spreading Grounds and the Rio Hondo Coastal Basin Spreading Grounds.
