Document Description
Upon the end of the lease for the private school, the Larkspur-Corte Madera School District would reconstruct and modernize the site with the development of a public elementary school. Demolition of the existing structures and clearing of the main site area would be followed by the construction of approximately 39,860 sf of modern classrooms and administrative facilities. Circulation and on-site parking would be enhanced to facilitate traffic flow by enlarging and improving the drop-off/pick-up loop and realignment of the exit driveway. The reconstruction and modernization project would allow the District to accommodate projected future student growth, alleviate overcrowding at other schools, improve flexibility of special education programs and small group instruction, and improve student access in the eastern part of its attendance area.
