Document Description
The project shall trim vegetation at two locations where underground gas pipelines are located in and around an irrigation channel and watercourse crossing. The project includes removing all vegetation along an approximately 2,747-foot-long, 4 to 5-foot-wide path straddling the centerline of the gas pipeline; the project will impact approximately 0.32 acres of emergent wetland and riparian habitat. The area will be mechanically mowed or manually cut with hand tools to within 6 inches of ground level; vegetation removal shall cease within five (5) horizontal feet of the top of bank. To control the regrowth of woody vegetation, an herbicide will be applied once a year in a localized manner using a backpack sprayer. SAA #1600-2012-0273-R3.
