Document Description
CDFW has executed Lake and Streambed Alteration Agreement No. 1600-2017-0026-R2, pursuant to section 1602 of the Fish and Game Code, to the project Applicant, Nevada Irrigation District. Project is limited to the replacement and installation of a single pipeline within the footprint of the existing Combie Phase I Canal, and the addition of a replacement aerial siphon parallel to the existing Bear River Siphon. The Combie Phase I Canal is located above the floodplain and riparian zone of the Bear River. For the Bear River Siphon Replacement portion of the project, activities will not be conducted within the Bear River channel or within any adjacent riparian areas. Replacement of the Combie Phase I Canal will require two ephemeral drainages be redirected under the replacement canal pipeline in order to restore natural drainage, as well as implementation of Best Management Practices to prevent any impacts to a third ephemeral drainage located within the northern staging area.
