Document Description
The scope of the project includes the excavation and off-site disposal of soil that is contaminated by petroleum products which leaked from previously removed underground storage tanks. The soil, aggregate and groundwater will be disposed of at certified disposal sites. The estimated depth of excavation is between three and eight feet. After excavation and removal of the contaminated soil, imported fill will be used as backfill. The removed asphalt structural section will also be reconstructed as part of the scope of this work. Incidental work at the site may include replacement of existing utilities, soil testing, sheet pile installation and monitoring well abandonment. Construction is expected to last approximately four weeks.
