The Contra Costa Mosquito & Vector Control District (District/Project Sponsor) undertakes activities through its Integrated Vector Management Program to manage the following vectors of disease and/or discomfort in the Service Area: mosquitoes, rats, yellow jackets, Africanized honey bees, ticks, skunks and noxious weeds. The District is preparing a PEIR to evaluate the effects of the continued implementation of the control strategies and methods prescribed in its Integrated Mosquito and Vector Management Program (Control Program/Project).
