The WWTP Facilities Master Plan and immediate improvements Project is intended comply with effluent limits for ammonia, nitrate, and arsenic adopted in the City's 2010 National Pollutant Discharge Elimination System (NPDESI) Permit (Orders R5-2010-0099 and R5-2010-10100-01) issued by the Central Valley RWQCB, which requires that effluent limits to be met no later than September 2015. In addition, future improvements and expansion of capacity will provide treatment capacity consistent with growth projected in the City's adopted 2030 General Plan.
