Document Description
The Sacramento Regional County Sanitation District (District) will upgrade its existing facilities at the Sacramento Regional Wastewater Plant to meet National Pollutant Discharge Elimination System permit requirements issued by the Central Valley Regional Water Quality Control Board as confirmed and modified by the State Water Resources Control Board. To meet permit terms, the District is required to reduce total nitrogen and ammonia levels in its effluent through a biological nutrient removal facility and provide tertiary filtration for pathogen removal. Permitted capacity will be unchanged.
