Document Description
The Wildcat Pipeline (Berkeley) is 1 of 4 water transmission pipelines approved and certified in the West of Hills Northern Pipelines Project (Project) EIR which includes construction of about 8,200 feet of 48-inch pipeline from Nogales Street to Parker Street, predominantly in Dana Street, Stuart Street, Benvenue Avenue, and Woolsey Street, in the City of Berkeley. A new pipeline alignment (Ellsworth Street Alignment) was identified during detailed design and includes construction of about 5,450 feet of 48-inch pipeline from Benvenue Avenue to Bancroft Way, predominantly in Stuart Street and Ellsworth Street. Staff conducted an evaluation and determined that the new alignment is a minor project change that does not result in new significant impacts or causes an increase in the severity of previously identified impacts from the revised alignment. EBMUD will implement the same mitigation measures for the Ellsworth Street Alignment as presented in the project EIR.
