Conditional Use Permit No. 3682 proposes to permit approximately 50 megawatt (MW) photovoltaic (PV) solar power plant on approximately 477 acres Assessor's Parcel Numbers 812-130-006, 812-130-007, and 812-130-008). The Project to be considered by the Board of Supervisors is a portion of a larger overall project known as the McCoy Solar Energy Project. The majority of the McCoy Solar Energy Project is on Bureau of Land Management (BLM) land. The overall solar project proposes to construct, operate, maintain, and decommission a PV solar energy generating facility (solar power plant) with a capacity up to 750 MW on approximately 477 acres under the County's jurisdiction of the County of Riverside and 4,096 acres of public land administered by the BLM.
