Document Description
Since certification of the Southport EIP Final EIR, WSAFCA has identified the Borrow One Site as containing material needed to construct the Southport project. Up to 300,000 cy of borrow material would be removed from the Borrow One site to support levee work associated with the Southport project. To provide material sufficient to return the Borrow One parcel to agricultural production following the completion of borrow activities for levee construction, an approximately 25 acre pond would be excavated on the eastern portion of the site, and the excavated material used to backfill excavated areas on the remainder of the site. The permanent pond would provide irrigation and drainage for the Borrow One site.
