Document Description
The proposed project involves the replacement of two parallel 4-inch cast iron pipes case iron that transport primary sludge and thickened waste-activated sludge from the CTP to the RTP for solids processing. The pipelines were originally installed in 1982, during the expansion of the CTP. Since installation, this system (termed the Export Sludge Handling System) has experienced a number of problems due to a combination of corrosion and internal deposition.
