Document Description
The purpose of this project is to improve two sections of Deer Valley Road, and existing arterial route in eastern Contra Costa County. The improvements to Deer Valley Road will provide wider recovery areas and greater sight distances for drivers. Improvements will include widening lanes from 10 foot wide to 12 foot wide with 6 foot paved shoulders and 2 feet of shoulder backing on both sides. No new travel lanes are proposed and no increase in capacity will occur. Both locations will require existing drainage ditches to be reestablished.
