Document Description
Note: Notice of Availability FONSI The proposed project is located in a rural coastal area in unincorporated Sonoma County, California, between post mile 15.1 and 15.7, immediately east of Gleason Beach, and would move SR 1 several hundred feet inland. The proposed project consists of constructing a two-lane roadway, replacing the current alignment and its capacity. The new alignment would have one 12-foot lane in each direction and two 8-foot shoulders, requiring embankment cut and fill, compared to the existing 22-foot-wide, two-lane highway with 0.0- to 2.0-foot shoulders and 11-foot lanes in both directions. New roadway would be placed on a new bridge structure spanning the Scotty Creek floodplain. The bridge structure would vary between 750-900 feet long.
