Document Description
Replacement of 2 inactive, shallow wells with a new high water production well that will have a pumping capacity of 2,500-3,500 gallons per minute, and a depth of 1,100 feet. Well 58, located approximately 250 feet west of the two inactive wells, will be built within a 1,820 square foot asphalt paved area currently used for storage. It will work in conjunction with 4 existing active wells that are used to supply the City's Linda Vista Reservoir located on the adjacent easterly property. Well 58 will be screened within an open-air 6-foot high block wall. The project will also require the installation of ancillary piping and the demolition of the two inactive wells, Well 27 and Well 28 which were built in 1960, had a horsepower of 75 hp each, and a maximum depth of 286.6 feet and 363.5 feet, respectively. They will be destroyed per State & local requirements.
