Butte Water District, as responsible agency, is approving the Long Term Water Transfers EIS/EIR (SCH No. 2011011010) that analyzes transfers from Butte and other potential sellers from 2015 through 2024; Butte adopted an addendum analyzing transfers during 2015 through 2024 to additional buyers that are members of the State Water Contractors, Inc.; Butte adopted the 2016 Water Transfer Project of up to 11,500 acre-feet of water made available by rice land idling and up to 5,500 acre-feet of water made available by groundwater substitution to participating members of the State Water Contractors, Inc. and/or San Luis & Delta Mendota Water Authority.
