Document Description
The California Department of Fish and Game is executing Lake or Streambed Alteration Agreement number 1600-2010-0151-R2, pursuant to Section 1602 of the Fish and Game Code to the project applicant. Yuba County Public Works This project is located in Yuba County on Woodruff Lane approximately 2.5 miles east of SR 70 and will consist of reconstructing and substandard radius curve to current design standards and widening the roadway at two locations by removing the tops of reinforced concrete box culverts that have narrow railing. The radius of the existing curve is ~ 70 feet. This curve will be replaced by a 300 foot radius curve with a design speed of 53mph. In order to correct the curve's alignment, right-of-way acquisition will be required from neighboring rice property. Two box culverts will be replaced with Reinforced-Concrete Pipe with Rock slope protection placed on the fill slopes around the ends of the pipes. The box culverts are located ~ ½ miles and ¾ mile west of the curve correction. This is a safety project and the substandard curve and narrow roadway opening at the box culverts have resulted in several accidents.
