Document Description
CDFW is intending to execute a Lake and Streambed Alteration Agreement pursuant to section 1602 of the Fish and Game Code (#1600-2013-0147-R5) to the project applicant, Otay Land Company, LLC. The project proposes permanent loss of 4.54 acres (7,169 linear feet) unvegetated stream, 0.50 acre southern willow scrub, 0.18 acre freshwater marsh, and 0.04 acre mulefat scrub due to grading and filling the unnamed tributaries occurring on the Village 8 West site and installation of a stormdrain outfall. Project impacts will be mitigated through the rehabilitation of 0.81 acre stream channel, the reestablishment of 8.77 acre stream channel and wetland/riparian habitat, and the rehabilitation of 8.11 acres upland buffer within the Otay River. Activities associated with the compensatory mitigation for this project are authorized under Streambed Alteration Agreement No. 1600-2016-0022-R5.
