Document Description
SMUD is proposing to design, construct and operate two 69/12 kilovolt (kV) substations and associated infrastructure to serve the Cordova Hills Development. While the 2012 FEIR described and analyzed three substations in total, SMUD is currently only proposing to develop the first two. There are existing 12kV overhead electrical distribution lines along Grant Line Road and internal to the Cordova Hills Development project boundary. In order to supply power to the two substations, SMUD would construct overhead 69kV sub-transmission lines connecting each substation to the existing Cordova Bulk Transmission Substation, located at the northwest limit of the Project on Douglas Road.
