Document Description
The project proposes to maintain and repair the existing rock and mortar lined spillway at Lower Blue Lake. The apron is approxiamtely 60 feet wide and 125 feet long.
Improvements will be made in both the exisitng apron area and the unlined channel area immediately below the apron. In the area of the existing apron, rip-rap slope protection will be added on both the east and west side above the existing rock and mortar side walls. The new rip-rap slopes will be laid-back at a 2:1 or 3:1 slope and consists of an 18" thick layer of 6-12 inch diameter rock over geotextile fabric. The west side slope protection will be approximately 90' x 11' while the east side slope protection will be approximately 115' x 9'.
