Document Description
The FMC Parcel C Project site lies within the Dumbarton Transit Oriented Development Specific Plan Area which encompasses 205 acres at the western edge of the City of Newark, CA. The overall TOD Specific Plan was addressed in an EIR (certified by the City in 2011), and the FMC Parcel C project is being addressed in an Addendum to the previously adopted EIR. The project would allow for the development of medium to medium-high density residential units in three Planning areas. The total number of proposing housing units is 192 on 17.4 acres of the site to achieve an overall density of more than 18 housing units per acre. The project will also provide a trail that is eligible to be part of the regional SF Bay Trail, Additional proposed site improvements include: on- and off- street parking, parks and recreational areas, drive aisles, underground utilities, Low impact Development (LID) drainage and water quality treatment structures, lighting, sidewalks, and landscaping.
