The project is a 35-mile roadway, the majority of which is along existing roads, linking El Dorado and Sacramento Counties and the Cities of Elk Grove, Rancho Cordova and Folsom. Project limits extend from the interstate 5/Hood-Franklin Road interchange in southwest Sacramento County east and north approximately 35 miles, terminating at US Highway 50 in the vicinity of Silva Valley Parkway approximately 3 miles past the El Dorado County line. The Connector is expected to provide 4-6 traffic lanes to accommodate the projected volume of vehicles in the MTP and general plans.
