Document Description
The project consists of improvements to Firestone Boulevard north of Artesia Boulevard and intersection improvements where Artesia Boulevard intersects with Firestone Boulevard and the I-5 northbound ramps in the City of Buena Park. Improvements along Firestone Boulevard include widening Firestone Boulevard from Artesia Boulevard to approximately 900 feet to the north to increase capacity and accommodate trucks. Firestone boulevard is frequently accessed by truck traffic on a daily basis to get to industrial areas north of Artesia Boulevard. The intersection has been recently improved as part of the Caltrans I-5 Widening Project. Firestone Boulevard is proposed to be widened on both sides of the street. The intersection improvements are designed to accommodate truck traffic; specifically, truck turning movements to and from Firestone Boulevard via Artesia Boulevard. The proposed project will require right-or-way from Assessor Parcel Number (APN) 066-020-33 and APN 066-020-35 to accommodate the improvements.
