Document Description
The SERP would provide a streamlined program for DWR to identify, obtain regulatory authorization for, and construct small levee repairs on levees maintained by DWR within the Sacramento River Flood Control Project (SRFCP) area. The initial focus (Phase 1) of the SERP approximately 306 miles of levees and represents an initial 5-year effort. After the Phase 1 implementation period, the Interagency Flood Management Collaborative Program Group (Interagency Collaborative Group) intends to evaluate the program's success and, if warranted, the SERP may be expanded in the future to include sites repaired by the local maintaining agencies throughout the Sacramento-San Joaquin drainage district.
