Document Description
The City is proposing to widen the existing two lane Dillon Bridge to 6 lanes as part of Improvement to the Dillon Road commercial corridor. The bridge will be designed to accommodate up to 8 lanes per ultimate configuration of Dillon Road according to the City's circulation plan. The project would (1) accommodate future traffic and address forecasted congestions, (2) improve safety by separating both directions of traffic on 2 bridge decks, adding sidewalks, and adding adequate shoulders for impaired vehicle pull outs and emergency vehicle bypass, and (3) address the hydraulic deficiencies with the existing bridge structure (record flood flows would overtop the existing bridge).
