DTSC is considering approval of a Remedial Action Plan (RAP) project for the PG&E Watsonville #2 MGP Site. The RAP consists of remedial activities to address the soil contaminants at the Site including arsenic, benzene, polycyclic aromatic, hydrocarbons and total petroleum hydrocarbons. Site investigations found soil contamination that is associated with former manufactured gas plant operations. The remedial activities consist of excavation of impacted soil to unrestricted land use standards to the extent possible, backfilling with clean fill, and offsite disposal of the excavated soil to permitted landfills.
