Document Description
The proposed project is to install a nitrate removal system at Station 103-01 to treat groundwater from Well 103-01 and 65-01. A 12" pipeline to transmit raw water form Well 65-01 to Station 103 was installed in Sept. 2008. A blend of water from well 65-01 (900 gpm) and well 103-01 (200gpm) will be fed to the treatment system. The nitrate removal system will consist of an ion exchange system to reduce the nitrate concentration, 2 waste brine storage tanks with a 6,650 gallon capacity, and one salt storage tank with a 9,100 gallon capacity. An emergency backup generator is also proposed at the project site.
