Document Description
The Operator intends to alter the streambed to replace an Arizona crossing within a bike path, along the Ventura River, with a 790 ft long spand bridge. The bridge will have approach ramps, and support piers in 6 locations along the span. The deck will be about 10 to 12 ft higher than the existing trail elevation. Each bridge segment would consist of pro-fabricated steel truss member, with a 10 ft wide deck, and 54 inch high handrails. This project will remove a steelhead migration barrier at the confluence of San Antonio Creek and the Ventura River, which is a critical location. Adjacent to the project site, is a pool, known to support steelhead during the dry season. The final design and location of the bridge shall be approved by the Departments engineers.
