Document Description
The California Department of Fish and Wildlife (CDFW) has executed Lake and Streambed Alteration Agreement number 1600-2018-0392-R3, pursuant to section 1602 of the Fish and Game Code to the project Applicant, Syar Industries, Inc. The Old Grey Rock Wetland Enhancement Project (Project) is part of a larger project, the Syar Napa Quarry Expansion Project. The Project will replace an oversized approximately 60-inch diameter, 71-foot long steel pipe that discharges storm water from an existing detention basin into an unnamed ephemeral drainage to Arroyo Creek with an approximately 36-inch diameter, 71-foot long high-density polyethylene (HOPE) pipe. At the outlet of the new pipe, approximately 2.2 cubic yards of 12-inch and 18-inch minus rock will be placed in the channel, extending approximately 10 feet downstream, to provide scour protection. A diversity of native plant species will be planted to enhance the habitat value of two on-site seasonal wetlands, as well as the riparian corridor of the existing detention basin and ephemeral drainage.
