Document Description
In accordance with state law, a new Housing Element (HE) must be adopted by the City of Chico and certified by the Ca Dept of Housing and Community Development by August 30, 2009. The HE is one of seven mandatory elements to the General Plan and is considered the primary policy document ot guide the development, rehabilitation, and preservation of housing for all economic segments of the City's population. Informed by a comprehensive public outreach effort, an updated HE has been prepared and adopted by the City Council.
