Document Description
Portions of the stream bank are failing due to lateral scours within the channel. The proposed Project would install willow mattress and cuttings to stabilize 3 lateral scour sites. Gravel would be removed from bars adjacent to the lateral scours and placed behind the mattress to further stabilize the bank. Willows would be trimmed to facilitate stream flow through the site. All willow cuttings, as well as dead wood and other material, would be removed from the channel. The Project is necessary to control erosion and reduce sediment deposition within the tributary and downstream waters.
