Document Description
The proposed Project would consist of a 230 megawatt solar photovoltaic (PV) facility on 2,100 acres. Major project components include PV panel arrays; an electrical substation; infiltration basins; two water tanks; a septic system; and a 20,000 sf Operations and Maintenance building with associated parking. The Project also includes a 230 kilovolt (kV) transmission line for interconnecting the electrical output of the Project to the regional transmission system. The proposed transmission line is ~4.25 miles long, and will interconnect to Southern California Edison's (SCE) planned Whirlwind Substation north of the Project site in southern Kern County.
